Stirling Elementary School
Advanced Air System’s 10-person crew replaced the outdated Trane system with a Daiken air-cooled chiller system, providing greater cooling capacity while using less energy. The new 130-ton enhanced system consists of one chiller, seven air handlers installed inside the building, and two condensers installed on the roof curbs for roof-mounted equipment. The old condensers were replaced with modern components to increase efficiency and effectiveness and were swapped out in tandem with the re-roofing, requiring consistent coordination and communication. The new air handlers and pumps were equipped with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) which match motor Power usage to the load requirements by adjusting power and down to meet the school’s demands.

Villa Magna Condominium
Villa Magna was a true team effort due to the multiple scopes of work, split roof design, and unique location of the project. The roof was divided into two sections by a middle penthouse. We started work on the north side of the building. The old roofing system was removed down to the concrete deck and Durapax primer was installed along with one layer of PolyGlass Polybond smooth to ensure a watertight surface. Following the preparation work, our Advanced Air Systems HVAC crew and our Electrical division were then able to install the new air conditioning units, stands, and ductwork.

YMCA Chiller Replacement
Open seven days a week, the Weston YMCA Family Center in Weston, South Florida is an integral part of the community, providing a state-of-the-art facility offering overall health and wellness solutions for children, adults, and seniors. A long-time Advanced Roofing, Inc. (ARI) customer, Weston YMCA contacted Advanced Air Systems (AAS), a commercial air conditioning company and a division of ARI, after the chillers and pumps on their 180-ton combined HVAC system reached the end of their service life.

Naples Airport
When the City of Naples, located on the southwest coast of Florida, experienced significant temperature and humidity issues with its existing air conditioning system, it contacted Advanced Air Systems (AAS), a full-service HVAC contractor and a division of Advanced Roofing, Inc. to provide a solution that would overcome the lack of cooling and zoning and deliver a controlled cooling solution throughout the building. To remedy the airport’s air conditioning issues, Advanced Air Systems installed a Daikin variable refrigerant volume (VRV) system along with Daikin rooftop units (RTUs). The VRV technology was a perfect fit as it delivers individualized comfort control with substantial energy savings.

When the Marco Island City Hall needed a complete removal of its 15-year-old HVAC system that was failing to cool its building, they selected Advanced Air Systems as the most qualified contractor to get the job done. The project scope of work included completely removing the old traditional split HVAC system and retrofitting the building with a new, Daikin Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) system.

Breakers Hotel
The Breakers reopened in 1926, ushering in a higher degree of European influence and architectural flair. Flagler’s newest iteration was modeled after the magnificent Villa Medici in Rome—an ambitious effort that called for 75 artisans brought in from Italy. Together they completed the intricate paintings, detailed across the ceilings of the 200-foot-long main lobby and first-floor public rooms, which remain on display today. It was a grand gesture that placed The Breakers in a class all its own.

The Queue Apartments

The project included installing 92 split air conditioning systems, two 50-ton rooftop units, building automation control systems, a garage CO2 exhaust system, and all associated ductwork and ventilation.

Royal Poinciana Plaza
When West Palm Beach’s historic Royal Poinciana high-end shopping plaza needed a facelift to make it more cozy and intimate, Advanced Air Systems (AAS) was trusted with upgrading the air conditioning (AC) systems at the iconic Eisenhower-era building. The renovation, which began in April of this year, took place while tenants occupied the building. The project’s general contractors trusted AAS with this difficult project due to its experience and in-house capabilities in sheet metal and cranes.

Cardinal Gibbons High School
Advanced Air Systems has worked with Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale for more than fifteen years. In the past, we have replaced the air conditioning system in the gymnasium and installed ductless mini-split systems in the football stadium press box and weight room. In 2015, we completed air conditioning retrofit projects for the cafeteria and classrooms. The classroom project included new ductwork, new air conditioning units, and new ceiling diffusers, along with all repairs and replacements. The cafeteria project included the installation of a new ductless mini-split system.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office selected Advanced Air Systems to replace 44 rooftop air conditioning units at their new headquarters in Tampa. By utilizing our Tampa branch, and leveraging partnerships with air conditioning system manufacturers Lennox and Liebert, our team was able to streamline the installation process and deliver comprehensive cooling solutions for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office while saving them $100,000 in equipment costs. This project was finished in 2016.

Towers of Oceanview East
Advanced Air Systems hit the beach to support a major roof replacement project at the Towers of Oceanview East condo in Hallandale, Florida. This project was a real team effort, with our team raising more than 200 air conditioning units and attaching them to new hurricane stands while our parent company, Advanced Roofing, replaced the roof system. Additional work scope included a current conditions report for each rooftop unit and replacing multiple broken units.
